Yereidy

Hi! Alright guys you know what happened this weekend. Yereidy's baptism!!!!!! Woohoo!!! This is gonna be kinda long fyi. Of course right before the baptism I got sooooo sick but hey the Lord helped me out and I was all good to go when we started. Best baptism ever. For real. She is seriously such a special soul. The Spirit really filled the room. Tears shed. She had the biggest smile the whole time. I am so beyond thankful to be here and to have been able to get to know her.  Yereidy had been taught by 2 other sets of elders last year and she told us that they invited her to baptism and she said no, it wasn't her time. One of our first Sundays here, a member brought Yereidy to church. We didn't know anything about her at all, we asked her if we could meet with her the following week and she said yes!! After finding her in our area book and learning a little more about her, when we went to teach her, we invited her to be baptized and without hesitation she said yes. We met w...

Buenas! What's up guys hey how's it going?? Anything new, anything fun? I'm kinda just chillin over here hahaha. This week was good. Taught some cool people and found a good amount of new people!! I'm so excited about the work that's going on here.  Not that much happened this week, a garbage truck threw a backpack full of cockroaches (the huge ones) at us while we were walking, ah another day in paradise ☺. This week we have the baptism of our friend Yereidy and she is SO prepared. She is so so cool I am soooo excited to tell you guys about it next week!! Spiritual Thought The Psalms are really touching. They really hit home. There's so many Psalms and they're all so good so I'm only gonna share a few but seriously if you have time please read them yourself, they are gold. Psalm 27:14- "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 30:5- "...weeping may endure for a night, but ...

Happiness = Christ

Holaaaaa Another cool and quick week!!  We had zone conference this week and I really enjoyed it. Presidente Acosta is just the  bomb.com . He spoke about how our purpose is intertwined with God and Christ's purpose. As a missionary I'm here to help Heavenly Father "bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39). So cool!! I also really liked what everyone had to say. I learned a lot from the STL's and AP's! I left feeling super edified and motivated. Super thankful to be a part of this gran obra!! Remember the chef pic of Hermana Perez from the last email? She got emergency transferred. We were all super sad, I love Hermana Perez!! But that means a new hermana moved in to take her place and that's okay because Hermana Fernandez is so super cool too. But rip to homemade Mexican food. On Saturday we had the baptism of our friend Fransisco!! It was awesome!! These little kids that hang out at the church all the time came and were asking ...

Job Is Inspiring

Hi!! This week was good! We had a super good district council that just fired me up. We talked about how we can fulfill our purpose more and everyone had really good things to share. We also had exchanges this week and for the first time actually enjoyed it. I learned sooooo much and it was just a really good experience honestly. I'm so pumped to apply the things I've learned. I've been realizing this week that the only way I'm gonna find joy in this transfer is literally throwing myself in the work so that's what I'm trying to do haha. All the things I've learned this week have helped me learn to do so. To focus more on my purpose, fulfill it more, and how to find joy in the work. My comp and I definitely made some progress this week too, we weren't really seeing eye to eye, but we've bettered our relationship this week! We've been working super hard these last couple days. The rest of this transfer is about to go crazy, I can feel it. I'm s...

Learning & Loving

Hey!! This week was chill idk haha. It was better. A couple new hermanas got here this week so we had 2 hermanas move in! Hallelujah! They took over one of the areas we were covering so now we're only down to one area and it's been such a relief haha. They're awesome!! This week was just full of a lot of teaching and trying to get to know the area and people here more. We're slowly cleaning through the area book! I got to go to a baptism in my last area and it was super good. The closing hymn was "Families Can Be Together Forever" and it just hit me like a truck that I'm literally here to help families be together like what the heck that's so cool!!!!!! Anyways. I also really felt God's love for every single person this week and it was awesome! God loves YOU!  Spiritual Thought My dad gave me wise counsel this week that I wanted to share, and said that everyone has to cross water at some point. Whether it's on dry ground like Moses, building a ...
