I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! I'm super thankful to have made the decision to serve a mission. This experience has truly set ...

Qué tal? This week we had 2 exchanges and also did splits! One of the Hermanas we live with has been really sick recently and had to be in the hospital most of the week! Because of the week she's been out sick, they haven't been able to work in their area. So on Friday we did splits to do double the work in their area to help them out! It was fun! I got to spend even more time with Hermana Cabrera and I love that woman she is so awesome.  We have some awesome friends right now. During the tropical storm last week we were looking through some people in our areabook and found someone that had met with missionaries before and had attended church 2 years ago! We started teaching him and now he is on date to get baptized the 14th!! He came to church yesterday and said he's excited to keep progressing in the church. Please keep Luis in your prayers! Man, only 1 more of these left. This is insane. I'm sad. It's hard for me to process haha. This week will be really exciting...

Hey A tropical storm came through this week so on Tuesday and Wednesday we had to stay inside all day. Where we live the connection is super bad so the days were filled with a lot of "What?? It's cutting out" through the phone back and forth. But a huge miracle is that the power never went out! Usually when 1 drop of rain comes, the power goes out in an instant but throughout the storm it didn't! We had a lot of zoom meetings to have a district council, a zone council, and a mission council, and it was a huge throwback to be in so many zoom meetings haha. The storm sucked up a lot of our week so I don't really have a lot of exciting things to share. We had an exchange on Thursday! We also saw a dead body in the street on Monday Night :(. My top 10: 10. Spiritual work  works 9. God has a perfect plan, always 8. God truly is the same yesterday, today, and forever 7. Christ magnifies my efforts 6. How to have faith, hope, AND charity 5. A sense of urgency !!!  4. The...

What's up On Tuesday we had an exchange with the hermanas we live with and I love them! They are awesome! Then we had another exchange on Friday! Presidente Chaverri wants all the leaders to be doing 2 exchanges a week, so we've just been going from place to place! We had another MLC on Friday to talk about how we can implement some of the things we learned in zone conference to the mission and a few other matters. It was great. And WED GOT BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!!!! It was awesome!!! He was so ready! Last week we taught him and asked him to pray about the Book of Mormon and he said "No I don't have to, I KNOW the Book of Mormon is true, it's like a key to the answer!" And then when we taught him about temples he was so fascinated and loved it. It was really tender. When he showed up on Saturday he had such a big smile on his face and was SO excited. He had such a big face of joy and relief when he came up from the water. It was such a happy day!!!!! He's t...
