Long Live Venezuela!!

Hey guys! NESTOR GOT BAPTIZED ON THURSDAY!!! It was awesome!! He has come SO FAR since we first started teaching him. He absorbed everything so so well and worked really really hard to let some stuff go, and did it!! He has changed to become more like Christ and it's been so cool to see. Also he is from Venezuela which is just such a bucket list thing for me haha. We took a video of us saying Venezuela and I made chicha (Venezuelan horchata but way better) just to commemorate the culture. It was a good time and he has already received the priesthood!!! So exciting!! This week we also met a lot of people and invited a lot of people to follow the example of Jesus Christ and make covenants. I love this work!! We got a new mission president this week which is really exciting but also so sad! It's hard to imagine that Presidente Acosta won't be giving me my last interview. I'm forever thankful for his and his wife's service. They have blessed my life so so much! I don...

Hello Not a lot happened this week! We got to go to the temple for the last time with Presidente and Hermanan Acosta :'). I love the temple so much, it was so nice to go!!!! That is my most favorite player ever. An awesome, firm, amazing, recent convert texted us on Thursday saying she will not be coming to church anymore. Out of the blue. Night and day switch. She told us there's no reason why. We aren't very sure what's going on but it was definitely the bummer of the week. :(.  Nestor should be getting baptized this week!!!! Keep him in your prayers!!!  This week I read a talk called "Drawing the Power of Jesus Christ into Our Lives" by President Nelson and a paragraph really stood out to me: "There is  nothing easy or automatic  about becoming such powerful disciples. Our focus must be  riveted  on the Savior and His gospel. It is  mentally rigorous  to strive to look unto Him in  every  thought. But when we do,  our doubts...

What's up guys I hope you all have had such a great week! This week was pretty good! We have this friend named Alexander that we met through his inactive grandma. In our first lesson with him, we asked him if he wanted to follow Jesus Christ and be baptized and he said no, he does not have a desire to follow Jesus Christ right now. Dang bruh. But he had a desire to read the Book of Mormón though so we invited him to do that and come to church and he just didn't seem very excited to do either of those lol. His neighbor that's a member, brought him to church and we were so excited to see him there! After church he just still didn't seem very excited or into the gospel haha. But we just felt like we needed to keep visiting him! We went back to visit him on Tuesday and had SUCH A GOOD LESSON. When we get there we ask him how church was on Sunday, and his grandma was like "oh my he LOVED it he came home on Sunday and just went on and on about how good it was and how muc...

This Work Is Totally The Lord's

Hello Our little friend Victor got baptized on Saturday! The elders we share a chapel with also had a baptism on Saturday and told us they were gonna fill the font, but when we showed up an hour early to the baptism to set things up, the font was completely dry. The font usually takes like 2-3 hours to fill. So with a TON of buckets and a little bit of chaos we were able to fill up the font with just enough water for Victor! It's a good thing Dominicans are always late haha that bought us so much time. Other than that it was really tender! After the baptism the bishop interviewed him for the priesthood and yesterday after church he received it! Next goal: the temple!!!  We had a lesson this week with our friend Sagrario who said that she LOVED church. She told us how she's visited so many different churches and felt like something was missing from all of them. When she came with us on Sunday she said she felt something so different that it impacted her whole week. She said that...
