Buen día friends!! We had a cool lesson with our friend Milagros and her family this week! Milagros is so cool she was a social media reference and she's prepared. Everytime we go she's like whoa! I've asked this before and you guys have helped me find and know the answer!" We taught the Plan of Salvation this week and it was awesome to see it click for her. There is no greater joy than talking about Christ all day! We also had a reallllly good lesson with this family we're teaching. We watched the Restoration video and they had so many good questions. We had some awesome members come with us and they just made all the difference. Please be a member missionary, you have no idea how important your testimony is!!!!!  We're about to go teach our bffs Dior, Yeidi, and Amaury and I love them they're hilarious. Dior and Amaury are DEDICATED to baseball, that's literally all they, and everyone in this country, do. Suddenly when I relate the gospel to baseball ...

Never Alone

Image
Hey!!!! One day this week we contacted an old lady that let us in her small home. She's sick, so she can't really leave the house unless it's to go to the doctor. She was telling us that a lot of people are like "but you're alone!!" And she said she tells them all "I'm not alone. God is with me. I don't see Him, but He sees me!" Man. How sweet. I could really just feel the love God has for that woman when she said that. It's so true too!! God is always with us, we are never alone. We had some reallllly good member lessons last night that helped us have some break-throughs with our friends. I'm SO excited to follow up with them this next week, it's gonna be a goooooood week. The pace is starting to pick up in the area, I'm so pumped. We had a friend who loves to tell us she loves her religion, accepts a Book of Mormon and for us to come back to teach more!! It's been so cool to see how the Lord has been present in her life ...

College Town

Hey!! So I'm in a new area! It's a cute place that is literally a college town and reminds me a lot of the college towns in the movies and guys get this there's actual street lights here !!! I'm so bewildered haha I actually have to wait for a light to cross most of the time instead of just walking into the street when I want. So crazy.  I'm kinda just getting used to the area! I have access to so many things here like there's a McDonald's??? What is life rn. And getting used to a new companion!! Basically just everything haha. It's been an adjustment but I'm trying really hard to keep being diligent!!! Also the members here LOVE the hermana that I replaced. This week there was a member that told me he didn't want to meet me because he was hurt that President took out the other hermana. But I met him and his family and I think we got along. But fr so many members have been a little sad about the change and I have such big shoes to fill it's b...

This One's Boring Oops Sorry

Hey!! We got transfer news and I'm getting shipped out !! I'm headed east! Kinda sad I love this area and these people!!! They're the best. Idk it's sad to leave the area but also very relieving to have a change haha I'm ready for a new transfer.  I will say though that these last 2 transfers have shaped me so much hahaha I've literally had to enter the depths of humility more than I ever have before and rely on my Savior more than ever. I've learned sooooo much and am really grateful to have had this experience to be able to grow and know Jesus Christ more. Being on a mission is just so special. Other than that not a lot happened this week, just taught a lot of awesome people and helped people come unto Christ!!  I cut my comps hair, we made empanadas, and I said a lot of goodbyes!! We also didn't have water for 2 days so uh  Spiritual Thought Loved what I learned this week!!! I have literally 0 time left but GOD LOVES YOU love u all! -Hermana Sevilla

He Heals The Wounded Soul

Hi! We're teaching this suuuuuuper awesome family that lives right next to the church. They are so special oh my gosh. The youngest, who's 8 years old, is literally always at the church. Always. All the members and youth know him because he is just always there! He's my bff. About a month ago we told him to come to church and he did, by himself!! After church we had him take us to his house and met his family, and we've been meeting with them every week since. They've all been coming to church and following through with their commitments!!!!!! This week our lesson with them was super special. The mom, Rosa, was telling us how she's been having a rough time, and she feels peace when she comes to church. She said when she reads the scriptures she feels a desire to change, she says they heal her soul. Immediately both my companion and I thought of Jacob 2:8 which says, "And it supposeth me that they have come up hither to hear the pleasing word of God, yea, th...
