Happy Halloween, The Dr Started Christmas Last Month

Buen día friends!!


We had a cool lesson with our friend Milagros and her family this week! Milagros is so cool she was a social media reference and she's prepared. Everytime we go she's like whoa! I've asked this before and you guys have helped me find and know the answer!" We taught the Plan of Salvation this week and it was awesome to see it click for her. There is no greater joy than talking about Christ all day!


We also had a reallllly good lesson with this family we're teaching. We watched the Restoration video and they had so many good questions. We had some awesome members come with us and they just made all the difference. Please be a member missionary, you have no idea how important your testimony is!!!!! 


We're about to go teach our bffs Dior, Yeidi, and Amaury and I love them they're hilarious. Dior and Amaury are DEDICATED to baseball, that's literally all they, and everyone in this country, do. Suddenly when I relate the gospel to baseball it just clicks for them! So funny haha I love them. Dior is a recent convert and now we're just working with Amaury and Yeidi! They're progressing slowly but surely 


We moved this week! We were living with the STLs in their area and every night if we missed the bus was a 30 min walk back home. But now we live right next to the church and ah I'm so grateful haha. 


Also It's been so rainy this week and chilly lol I forgot what that was like. 


Spiritual Thought
Alma 7 offers some really awesome verses about Christ and His sacrifice. 


   11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
   12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
   13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.


These scriptures have always been some of my favorites. Growing up I had these engraved in my brain, and relied on them heavily. To know that the Atonement isn't just to free us from sin but also so that Christ can empathize with us through everything. Every sad time, every good time, everything. Not only did he suffer all, but he willingly took these things upon Himself, so that he can know how to succor, to run to, His people. I cannot express enough how much Christ loves each and every one of you. He died for YOU. Come unto Him and let Him prevail in your life. I promise that as you do you will feel more of this succor that He offers you, in every moment. I've seen it in my life countless times! The Lord truly is so good.

Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! Letting The Holy Spirit Guide

Alo!! Koman ou ye?? Duolingo got Creole on it so now I'll definitely come back speaking like a pro thanks Duolingo and textbooks from my mom <3.  This week was average idk. Nothing too crazy. We had some cool lessons and met some cool people!! This is the last week of the transfer and we think Hermana Reategui might leave the area so I'm a little emo about that lol.  We did have a cool experience on Saturday though. We were chillin after English class in the morning and saw that we had some missed texts and a missed call from a random number asking if we were coming and we were like what??? Usually because of English class we don't make appointments for Saturday morning so we were super confused. We called the number and they were like hi are you guys coming??? And we were like who are you? They said "Larimar, remember on the second floor of that house, on such and such road, from Thursday? You said you would come by again Saturday morning did you guys forget?"...
