College Town

Hey!!


So I'm in a new area! It's a cute place that is literally a college town and reminds me a lot of the college towns in the movies and guys get this there's actual street lights here !!! I'm so bewildered haha I actually have to wait for a light to cross most of the time instead of just walking into the street when I want. So crazy. 


I'm kinda just getting used to the area! I have access to so many things here like there's a McDonald's??? What is life rn. And getting used to a new companion!! Basically just everything haha. It's been an adjustment but I'm trying really hard to keep being diligent!!!


Also the members here LOVE the hermana that I replaced. This week there was a member that told me he didn't want to meet me because he was hurt that President took out the other hermana. But I met him and his family and I think we got along. But fr so many members have been a little sad about the change and I have such big shoes to fill it's been a little intimidating but hey!!! I have hope!!!! Also I've never had to rely on my Venezuelan culture so much the members have been eating that up and it's honestly kinda helped me blend in more. Thanks Alejandro.


We kinda had a baptism this week? Long story short we have to do it again shejdbfkfbt so awkward. So I'll send those pics next week when it happens fr.


In other news I got to help put up a Christmas tree which was SO fun for me I miss decorating the Christmas trees at home. 


Spiritual Thought
Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."


God knew Jeremiah, and every one of us, before he/we came to the earth. Not only that but He has a plan for each and every one of us. That plan looks different for everyone!! When we act on our faith and on revelation we receive, using the gift of repentance daily, striving to keep our Covenants and follow/rely on Christ, we're allowing ourselves to reach the fullest potential of His plan for us. Choose Christ and follow Him, the blessings He has in store are beyond measure. Trust that He knows you perfectly and loves you so so much!!!
Also prophets are called of God.

Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! Letting The Holy Spirit Guide

Alo!! Koman ou ye?? Duolingo got Creole on it so now I'll definitely come back speaking like a pro thanks Duolingo and textbooks from my mom <3.  This week was average idk. Nothing too crazy. We had some cool lessons and met some cool people!! This is the last week of the transfer and we think Hermana Reategui might leave the area so I'm a little emo about that lol.  We did have a cool experience on Saturday though. We were chillin after English class in the morning and saw that we had some missed texts and a missed call from a random number asking if we were coming and we were like what??? Usually because of English class we don't make appointments for Saturday morning so we were super confused. We called the number and they were like hi are you guys coming??? And we were like who are you? They said "Larimar, remember on the second floor of that house, on such and such road, from Thursday? You said you would come by again Saturday morning did you guys forget?"...
