Of A Good Courage

Image
Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

Nice Week

Hi, this week was pretty normal. We went to the temple and asked some people to be baptized!!! Almost all said yes!  The temple was absolutely beautiful, the DR is hot and I invited someone to be baptized for the first time!! A lot of our baptisms are being pushed back so we're praying that the dates we have as of right now can stay!! I have ANOTHER exchange this week which honestly I'm not looking forward to haha this will technically be my 3rd this transfer and I haven't had the best experiences BUT I'm hopeful and keeping an open mind to try to learn something this time. That's about all I've got for this week!  Spiritual Thought(s): Deuteronomy 8:2-3. These verses are soooo good. We need to remember the Lord always!! And there is always something to learn from trials. These verses explain to Israel that there was something to learn from their hard times. And that the Lord is ALWAYS there for us!! "Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that ...

What Hermana Fraser Said

This is Ashlee's dad sending this sorry this is late oops Hi!! How is everyone doing? Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you guys!!! These past couple of weeks have been good!! I'm slowly but surely adjusting to life here in the DR. Alma Rosa is doing awesome! We have some great people and this week we found some more so I'm hopeful!!! Some bummers but it's all good!!  We had exchanges this week and I lead out my area which was terrifying for me but I didn't get lost too much!!! The exchange was a little frustrating but we found this sweet lady who isn't a member but just let us in and gave us dinner right on the spot so that made it better! She has so much faith so I'm excited to get to know her more!! A couple weeks ago my dear friend Hermana Sally Fraser sent an email talking about gratitude filled eyes and I've really been trying to focus on that lately! The work is so much more worthwhile when I try to look for that. A lady We m...

Hola!!!!

Hola!! I'm in the Dominican Republic!!! I got here last Monday super early in the morning and it has been quite the adventure since then. I was sad to leave ny disrtrict at the CCM but we're all in the field now so that is super exciting!!! My companion/trainer is Hermana Reategui. I LOVE HER. She is so amazing and we get along so well. All the sisters here are pretty fresh, she's only been out for 6 months, so we're kinda learning together. Her spanish is still in progress so she's always asking me for help hahaha. We're in Alma Rosa which I think technically counts as the city and its so great here!! The people are super nice!! It has quite literally been a rollercoaster being here, I've seen the lows and the highs. The other day we were talked to this guy who the first thing he told us was that he was stabbed in the thigh and took a blow to the head and he had dried blood all over his hands and leg. He also told us some interactions he's had with girl...
