Wild Wild Wild

Hey!

This week was kinda wild but so good! The week started out with a trip to the office with the other hermanas we live with which ended in the decision that one of those hermanas had to return home early due to health reasons :(. We were so sad but are so happy for our friend and that she is now getting the help she needs!! Because of such, Tuesday morning we were put into a trio with Hermana Romans for the day until Wednesday, when we'd pick up her new companion. #dreamtrio. My first and probably only time being I'm a trio but Hermana Perry, Hermana Romans, and I are already bffs so it was a lot of fun! Wouldn't want to be in a trio with anyone else!

On Wednesday we had another hermanas activity, but this time with Hermana Chaverri!! I LOVE HER. She went all put and it was SO GOOD. Presidente and Hermana Chaverri have a focus of high love means high expectations, and this hermanas activity was based on high love. The love they radiate is incredible. They inspire me so much and every time I think about the fact that I won't get to know them that long I want to cry ahhhh they are amazing and my role models.

We had a miracle this week where we had walked down a place we had NEVER gone to before, and when we went there we met a member from Haiti that had JUST gotten here from Haiti to move here, and was trying to find the church! And he's an RM! I just know God led us there! Then he and his brother in law came to church together! It was awesome!

Today has been such an absolutely crazy and insane pday passed in the absolute blink of an eye we had a mission pday and I just don't have much time haha but this next week is also gonna be insane! We have 3 exchanges this week back to back to back and then I'll probably be in a trio again on Friday while Perry goes on her last temple trip with the rest of the departing missionaries. It's gonna be wild!

Here's what I have for this week:

10. Spiritual work works
9. God has a perfect plan, always
8. God truly is the same yesterday, today, and forever

This has never hit me so hard than it has while being here on the mission. All we teach as missionaries is just that: God is the same, He's an unchangeable Being. When Christ came to the earth, He established His church. He showed us the way. After His death, things were lost, it wasn't the same anymore. But because He loves us, and is the same all the time, He restored His church in the exact same way He had established it. The same! God doesn't lie, He's so full of love.

This also has helped me to know that what Christ says in the scriptures applies to me today too. It's always been kind of hard for me to fathom the simple fact that I can ask for whatever (aligned with God's will), and He will answer and provide. If I ask for peace, He'll give it to me! The same way He provided miracles then, He does and will now! The love and care He had for people then, He has for me now! Because He never changes!!! I'm glad that's the God I believe in; one that I can rely on because He is always the same and will be there for me all the time, just like He was for them back then, and He is for you now.

"9 For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing
10 And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then have ye imagined up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles.
19 And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles." (Mormon 9:9-10,19).
