Danger, Green, Mangos, Forest, Village, Chicken. Awesome.

Hi!

This week was so cool! I love this area this is awesome!!!!!!! It's so Campo (like countryside/rural type vibe?), which means it's green EVERYWHERE. It's so pretty!!!!! We were literally walking down a dirt road hill and it just looked like the jungle around us with the smell of the woods and it was the best ever. It's such a little village vibe I LOVE IT. Unfortunately this is the most dangerous zone in the mission so we can't take our phones or cameras out of the house in case we get robbed so I just don't have much proof but believe me it's awesome. Me and Hna. Perry decided we're gonna just take our cameras out this week and pray realllll hard that no one robs us. So hopefully I can show you guys next week!

And we have some awesome friends here! I'm so excited to keep getting to know them and help them progress!

Also it's mango season here and we have been given sooooo many free mangos this week. This week alone we were gifted 54 mangos hahaha we had to get so creative with what to do with all of them so we've drinken a lottt of mango juice and today we're gonna make mango cheesecake! Mangos are literally everywhere here it's so amazing I love it. I am really getting the most out of my DR experience here I am so happy!!!

This week I read in Ether 12 which is just SO GOOD! It is a very good chapter on faith and humility!! Here's my top 3 verses:

4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them
41 And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.

These verses basically speak for themselves but I am just so thankful for Jesus Christ! Having faith in Him truly does create an anchor for our souls. With Christ at the center, we can stay calm in the middle of the most raging storm. We can only stay firm in those hard times with Him, because He experienced the same. And when we have faith in Him we recognize that He can do so much more for us than we could ever do for ourselves! We all have faults and weaknesses but the best part about Christ's Atonement is that He can transform those weaknesses into strengths if we let Him! His grace is so beautifully sufficient for each and every one of us! His cup is overflowing with grace! That's so kind of Him to have enough grace to share with all of us! And I am so beyond thankful to be here on a mission, dedicating this time of my life to help others "seek this Jesus." There are so many miracles that happen when we seek this Jesus and follow those whom He has called. His chosen servants here on the earth help us seek Him and know Him as He truly is. What a gift! We can seek Him through applying the doctrine of Christ in our lives, by having faith in Him, getting to know Him more so we trust Him more, repenting daily and feeling His cleansing power in our lives, making and keeping covenants with our Heavenly Father, and laying hold upon those promises. Seeking Him is the most fulfilling thing ever. I have grown to know Him and how He works so much more while being here and I am just so beyond thankful. The little things everyday really do help us see Him more in our lives, I promise.

Have a great week guys I love you all!! Seek Jesus a little more this week!
