!!!!!!

Whats up guys? This week was awesome. One of my most favorite on the mission thus far! So many of our friends want to come unto Christ!! My heart is so full!


Sadly we had to stop teaching Diony last week :(. Sad but we gotta focus on the people who want to progress! He hadn't texted us the whole week and we didn't text him either but on Friday he texted us a long thing saying he's thankful that we introduced him to the Book of Mormon, and that "ever since he started reading it, he's felt a sensation of peace and clarity that he can't explain with words." How cool is that? That is literally answer to his prayers! Even though we let him go, I'm so glad that he feels that way about the Book of Mormon and I feel so happy that we could plant that seed!


On Friday we met with a friend who we have invited to be baptized like 5 times and said no every time haha but this day we just focused on the Book of Mormon and the Plan of Salvation and he finally accepted a date! He said he wouldn't read the Book of Mormon if it didn't come from God, but he feels good when he reads it so he knows it's the word of God and will keep reading it. !!!!!!!


On Friday we also called our friend Ralph who told us he wants to do all he can to be baptized in May! He told his mom in Haiti that he's meeting with missionaries and going to church and she was so proud of him! He says he feels different as he reads the Book of Mormon and meets with us, he feels a better presence and influence in his life. The Spirit!!! 


On Sunday we had a friend come to church for the first time and during the second hour the bishopric talked about tithing and fast offerings. After church we met with visited her and she asked us so many good questions about those and was like is it possible to pay tithing before baptism? These people are just too good!!!!


On Thursday in the street there was this lady, Rosa, that was carrying something heavy and we were like hey do you need help? And she said yes! She saw our tags and were like "oh you guys are the mormons! I love mormons! I want them to share with me! I shared with them a long time ago! When can you guys come?" We were so excited to hear that haha and we set up a return appointment. We went back yesterday and she asked us: "So to meet with you guys do I have to get baptized?" We were like uhh yeah kinda haha that's the goal and she said, "Ok! How long does it take to be baptized? What do I have to do?" !!!!!!! We answered and she took it all like a champ and said she wants to work towards that!! She drinks coffee and she said she would gladly start decreasing every day if that's what God wants her to do! Then at the very end of the lesson she was like "Please help me be baptized! I've been looking for a long time for a place to be baptized and I know that this is it!" This was our first visit with her. !!!!!! Literally so prepared!! The best part is that God TOTALLY set that up. We contacted her street like a week ago and found no success so we were just not gonna go on that street again for a while haha. If we didn't run into her on the street,  it would've been a veryyyyyy long time until other missionaries would find that street and contact it again! Totally divine design!  When we asked to help her, we were actually running late to a lesson, so it would've been really easy to just keep going, but I'm glad the Spirit inspired us to talk to her. An unexpected find that led to gold! I can't imagine what would've been if we had just kept going! I truly know that this is His work and no one else's. He's so on top of it!


This work is just the absolute best. Where else am I gonna get experiences like this? People being so prepared by God! Watching people grow their faith and receive answers to prayers! Friends coming closer to Christ and growing the desire to do so! This is just so unique. All this experiences bring ME closer to the Savior and help me know that He is so perfectly mindful of every single one of us. It's so powerful to know that its actually not me or my companion that brings about the change in our friends' lives, it's the Holy Ghost! I love being able to help our friends see the need of this constant companion in their lives. There's just no words to describe how thankful I am! I can't imagine my life without all these experiences.


My study was so amazing this week I love the scriptures!! I really love Mormon chapter 9! 


"9 For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing?
27 O then despise not, and wonder not, but hearken unto the words of the Lord, and ask the Father in the name of Jesus for what things soever ye shall stand in need. Doubt not, but be believing, and begin as in times of old, and come unto the Lord with all your heart, and work out your own salvation with fear and trembling before him.
 28 Be wise in the days of your probation; strip yourselves of all uncleanness; ask not, that ye may consume it on your lusts, but ask with a firmness unshaken, that ye will yield to no temptation, but that ye will serve the true and living God."


If there's anything I've learned about God while I've been on my mission, it's that He literally does. not. change. Not one bit. The scriptures are clear about who Christ says He is and who He wants us to be. They're clear on what He established and what He did, and He wants us to do the same.  Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is perfect. And if He established His church yesterday, He's gotta do it today, in the same way, with priesthood authority and the right organization, because that's just who He is: Perfect, unchanging. He is the perfect example. We have to do things in His way. And if He performed miracles yesterday, He will do it today. Our Heavenly Father wants to answer our prayers, and He will!! We just have do ask with a firmness unshaken, doubting nothing. I know that He answers prayers. I know that He is a God of miracles. I know that He is unchanging, and that this is His church on the earth today, the only one that follows His perfect example, He directs it. 


I feel so joyful to share this message in this country!!


Transfers are next week and I am so nervous haha I think I might be getting the boot. I love Los Mameyes!!

Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! Letting The Holy Spirit Guide

Alo!! Koman ou ye?? Duolingo got Creole on it so now I'll definitely come back speaking like a pro thanks Duolingo and textbooks from my mom <3.  This week was average idk. Nothing too crazy. We had some cool lessons and met some cool people!! This is the last week of the transfer and we think Hermana Reategui might leave the area so I'm a little emo about that lol.  We did have a cool experience on Saturday though. We were chillin after English class in the morning and saw that we had some missed texts and a missed call from a random number asking if we were coming and we were like what??? Usually because of English class we don't make appointments for Saturday morning so we were super confused. We called the number and they were like hi are you guys coming??? And we were like who are you? They said "Larimar, remember on the second floor of that house, on such and such road, from Thursday? You said you would come by again Saturday morning did you guys forget?"...
