A Great Work

What's up!

I realized that last week I said it was a wild week and didn't even explain what made it wild! How silly of me! One of the silliest things that happened was when we went to the doctor last week and it was such a sketchy hospital and the nurse that was drawing my blood just went to town moving the needle in my arm, only to not get anything out and puff a little air in my veins! Then she gave up and another nurse came to try to get blood out of my other arm and also went to town. The first nurse left a nasty bruise on my arm and everyday this past week I've had people mention it and recommend remedies hahaha. I just think it's hilarious. Then we hung out in the xray room with a different nurse, who is also a member and the one that took us there, and this security guy (I think?) came in and we just taught him the Restoration while they casually got us hospital rice and beans. Awesome!
That's basically all I wanted to expound on from last week haha.

As for this week, it was great! A couple weeks ago we were just walking down the street when someone said "hey hermanas!" and waved us over. We go over and he's like "yeah I'm actually a member of your church but I'm inactive, I was thinking about going to church tomorrow though." And we were like oh yes of course please come! Can we come visit you? Then he said "yeah, it'd actually be great if you guys could come over, my son is 11 and needs to be baptized, it'd be good for you guys to teach him." We were like we would love to! And then he and his kids came to church the next day! And now his son Victor is gonna get baptized on Saturday!! We are so excited for him!!

Some other fun moments from the week:
-lightning storms with a tonnnn of very very loud thunder
-saw the biggest spider ever this morning and one of our roommates was petrified with fear lol
-almost died when a F150 drove right next to us, onto the sidewalk, running by the businesses. Picture driving video games—that.
-Reached a lot of goals this week! We had a friend come to church with her 3 sons and she LOVED IT. The best part is that she came and recognized friends! AND yesterday was mother's day here in the DR, and the relief society class was about mothers and she loved it!
-Hna. Perry and I started a thing where we pray every hour in the street. It's awesome.
-Saw Reategui!! She came back to visit and it was the best ever.
-we went really far in our area where the only way to get home was hitchhiking. So fun!

I love being a missionary and time is going by way too fast. Hna. Perry finishes a transfer before me and it just depresses us every time someone mentions how much time we have left. I'm so sad. But so happy that I'm here right now and that's all that matters!!!

I don't have a lot of time left but I finished the Book of Mormon this last week and man I am just SO thankful for the Book of Mormon. It truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. It testifies of His mercy and love for every. single. one. of. us. Christ is so awesome and I'm so thankful for Him. Please act on Moroni's invitation:

" 3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

I know this book is true because I've asked God in prayer. That's the only way. And you can know too!! Ask God!!

Bye love you guys!! Stay safe, hags!
