Brrrrrr Chilly Week

Buen día


This week went by so fast holy. We had a lot of lessons fall through this week but of the ones that didn't, we had a lot of good ones! We met a lot of cool people this week! We've been working with a lot of inactives and it's a slow but great process with them! We also got a reference from a friend of a missionary in Brazil who seemed a little iffy to meet with us but when we met with him he really liked the message! We're so stoked to work with him more!!


We've really been trying to work on our lessons with members and we've had some awesome ones this week! I'm thankful for this ward!


I'm just having a good time here. Me and Hermana Zirker are just laughing all the time haha we've had so many silly interactions with people. There are these things called callejones here which I don't think words will be able to describe really well but they're like tight alleys where there's a bunch of houses? Like picture a city block but instead of it 2 rows of houses, it's like 50 all jumbled together on the same block and the only way to get to the ones in the middle is through these small alleyways. Hopefully that makes sense lol but we found a ton and it was just a maze of adventures haha. 


Today we went to ride bikes which was SO FUN. It was fun to see more of the touristy sites and I had REAL ICE CREAM! The ice cream here is like water based? Idk but it's not the same. Today we went to a place that just had good creamy ice cream. It's the simple things! Also we had bag juice today mmmm yummy


This week I listened to "An Evening with a General Authority— Elder Bednar Discussion" and it was sooooo good! It had some things I really needed to hear about living in revelation! Oftentimes we complicate it too much and when we do our best we can just trust that God is guiding us. I love being here on a mission which gives me the opportunity to rely even more on the Spirit than I ever have in my life. I'm so thankful for the gift of the Holy Ghost!


Also, it was cold this week what is up with that brrrrrr I cannot go back home to chilly weather nope no thanks never.

Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! Letting The Holy Spirit Guide

Alo!! Koman ou ye?? Duolingo got Creole on it so now I'll definitely come back speaking like a pro thanks Duolingo and textbooks from my mom <3.  This week was average idk. Nothing too crazy. We had some cool lessons and met some cool people!! This is the last week of the transfer and we think Hermana Reategui might leave the area so I'm a little emo about that lol.  We did have a cool experience on Saturday though. We were chillin after English class in the morning and saw that we had some missed texts and a missed call from a random number asking if we were coming and we were like what??? Usually because of English class we don't make appointments for Saturday morning so we were super confused. We called the number and they were like hi are you guys coming??? And we were like who are you? They said "Larimar, remember on the second floor of that house, on such and such road, from Thursday? You said you would come by again Saturday morning did you guys forget?"...
