Patience
Hello!!!!
Hi guys, how is everyone doing?? This week was good!!
We have a friend named Jeni with her 2 daughters and they are just the cutest ever and doing SO WELL right now. We walked into their house last night and the 2 daughters (age 9 & 7) ran up to us and one of them told us she read 2 verses in the Book of Mormon, and the other one brought their phone asking where she can download the app that has the Book of Mormon on it. HOW CUTE. We taught them about the word of wisdom and law of chastity and they took it really well!! Jeni told us she wants to work towards getting married!! YAY. They are so amazing and so special!!
We had a baptism yesterday of our friend Kendri! Yay go Kendri. He's got the love for God!
We're working with a family right now that is a slow but sure process. Bernie, the 15 year old son who's progressing the most in the family right now came to church yesterday AND SO DID HIS MOM. They have some really strong beliefs BUT the mom, Krismely, told us that Saturday night she prayed to ask God her questions. That's such a huge step!!!! They are so near and dear to my heart and I have really seen the Lord work in their lives!!! Please keep them in your prayers!
I hit halfway this week que locura!
Alma 17:10-11
10 And it came to pass that the Lord did visit them with his Spirit, and said unto them: Be comforted. And they were comforted.
11 And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls.
These verses!!! So amazing! Really gave me a pick me up this week! There were a lot of times this week where we faced a lot of rejection. And it was honestly a little discouraging! But then I remembered these verses and I regained my hope!! If there's anything I've learned on my mission it's how to develop patience. Patience is literally key. I've had to learn soooo much how to be patient here. Be patient with myself, with others, and with the Lord. It's been hard at times. But when I have exercised patience, the result is always sweeter than the wait. The Lord really does have a plan and I know that as we are patient in all things, He will guide us and the blessings will have been well worth the wait. I've seen it. I've lived it. Be patient this week!! And let the Lord comfort you in your waiting period.
LOVE U MWAH
