It's Nice To Have A Friend

Hola!!

Guys this week was awesome!!!! I haven't enjoyed a week like this in a while! We taught some awesome lessons and found really cool people.

My comp!! She's Domnican and she's awesome! She's such a natural at the mission thing. We've had a lot of fun this week and I'm thankful to have her here! She's super determined which is awesome, we're both ready to work hard this transfer.

Yesterday we taught some of our new friends Jeni and her 2 daughters, ages 7 & 9. THEY'RE SO CUTE. It was a realllly awesome lesson and the daughters were engaged too! They were asking super cute and sweet questions and I'm SO excited to go back. Yesterday also was just a really great day I'm super thankful!! We taught a lot of friends and they're making progress!!

I'm just super happy this week!! Super thankful!! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I am SO excited for this transfer. We have some high goals and I know we can reach them. This is gonna be a month/transfer full of Miracles and I'm so ready to work harder than I ever have before. Let the miracles begin!!

This week I've been thinking about how much I really appreciate Alma's example!! In Alma 15:18, after they've been battered, bruised, spit upon, and basically traumatized, Alma, instead of focus on himself, uplifted Amulek. Take a look:

"Alma having seen all these things, therefore he took Amulek and came over to the land of Zarahemla, and took him to his own house, and did administer unto him in his tribulations, and strengthened him in the Lord.

I love that. Alma totally could've used this time to close up and mope. But instead he used Christlike charity to look outward and lift Amulek up, who had just suffered so much loss, and had given up everything to be able to preach unto the people about the Lord. Alma was a good friend and administered unto Amulek in his tribulations. I'm sure Alma was hurting too, trying to process all that had happened, but he put his hurting friend first. I love that. "A friend loveth at all times" (Proverbs 17:17). And that's what Alma did, loved his friend at all times.

And not only that, but strengthened him in the Lord. Trials can be turning points, to turn to or from the Lord. But trials are when we can feel the closest to our Heavenly Father, because other than relying on Him daily, we rely on Him especially in times of heartache. Alma supported his friend and let him know that Christ is with him then more than ever. Christ is there for us at all times, and sometimes we recognize that through our friends, as I'm sure Amulek did.

So be a good friend this week! Look for those who are hurting, and strengthen them in the Lord. Everyone needs a little more Jesus in their life, and the peace He brings in those times of sorrow are indescribable. YOU can offer that to someone, that's joyful!!! So follow Him :).

Well guys, I love you!! You all are awesome and if there's any way that I can administer unto you, PLEASE let me know!! Ttyl!!
