Covenants

Buen día mis queridos

Hi! How's everyone doing?

Nothing too crazy for this week butttt This week we're about to go ham. Transfers are next week and they're splitting the area, and I'm most likely gonna stay, so we're getting everything prepped so that the new hermanas can blend right in! Our goal is to visit every member this week and get everything in order. It's gonna be a very poderoso week. Please pray for some miracles to happen because we need them!!!!

Yesterday while on our way back home we walked past our friend's house and he was sitting on his patio reading the Book of Mormon!!!! On his own!!! That might be so small but ahhh it was just so special to see!! We walked up and in my broken Creole I asked him what he's been learning and he said he's been learning a lot a lot about Christ! Yay! He's so awesome and man I am just so happy that that's how he was spending his free time.

Time is flying by fast!! I have so much gratitude for this time I get to have here!! In an interview with Presidente Acosta this week we talked about being grateful for our trials, and letting them shape us and form us into who God wants us to be, and when we remember and stay true to our covenants, He will carry us through those trials. I've been reflecting on that this week. In Come, Follow Me for this week we read Hosea, And I love what the manual said about this covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father:

"Israel’s covenant with the Lord was meant to be so deep and meaningful that the Lord compared it to a marriage. The covenant, like a marriage, included eternal commitment, shared experiences, building a life together, exclusive loyalty, and most of all, wholehearted love. This kind of devotion came with high expectations—and tragic consequences for infidelity. Through the prophet Hosea, God described some of the consequences the Israelites faced for breaking their covenant. And yet His message was not “I will reject you forever for being unfaithful.” Instead it was “I will invite you back” (see Hosea 2:14–15). “I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness,” the Lord declared (Hosea 2:19). “I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely” (Hosea 14:4). This is the same message He gives us today as we seek to live our covenants with love and devotion."

God loves each and every one of us and wants so badly for us to return to Him. In the midst of our trials God is there for us. He's calling to us. We have to keep our part of the covenant to feel the power He brings until our lives. Covenants are powerful. And I know that the binding power that covenants have has helped me in more ways than I know. I invite you all to reflect on the covenants you've made with the Lord, and strive to keep them more. The Savior has blessings beyond our comprehension in store.

I love you all, so dearly, and God loves you more. I'd love love hear from you ALL!!
