Be Apart From The World

Hi!!!!



This week was better than last week!! We really tried to up our member lessons and saw a lot of success with that. A lot of really good lessons with them, I'm super thankful for the members in our ward being willing to come help us and meet our friends!!



I don't really know what else happened this week it was kinda just a blur uhhh we have some cool friends that are progressing really well!! it's super special to see people act on their faith and see the joy that awaits them. we also had to unfortunately stop teaching some people which was really sad for me but i know that God has a plan for them and as Isaiah says, The Lord will gather one by one. 



also uh a hurricane is passing by rn - hey hurricane season!



Spiritual Thought

I've really come to love Isaiah this past week. I like chapter 28! Read verse 8. Gross. What can I say Isaiah is a visual guy. Butttttt, when we focus on the world this is literally what our spirituality looks like. Avoid the tables of vomit and filthiness!!!!! When we're focused on the world, we don't understand "line by line" (verse 10). We don't understand the prophets. Typically we don't recognize we're eating spiritual vomit. When we are though, our ability to feel the Spirit is diminished. So think about Christ, let Him rest in your mind. Follow Christ and seek Him first. He brings lasting and eternal peace that the world cannot ever provide. Please trust Him!

Hi!! This week was nice!!! I definitely saw some tender miracles this week!! We had a really good lesson with our friend Dagoberto and his wife Risa. He has sooooo much faith and we're just waiting for a few medical things to work out so he can get baptized!! They are so amazing and the spirit that we felt with them this week was so special. That lady that I said gasped during the First Vision is on date now!!!! Her name is Adilka and she's so special. She has so much faith and she said that when she reads the Book of Mormon the feeling she gets is indescribable. I'm so stoked for her. Her whole family are members but inactive and her inactive sister was such a huge help during our lesson to help us get her on a date, it was so funny but perfect!! The inactive sister has started to reactivate so it's awesome. Such a good lesson I just love them. That's about it hahaha this week was good and some frustrating things but that's the mission life I suppose. Good news...

El Sol Sale Por El Este

I come home this week. In case you're wondering, yes, I am emo. I'm sad. I can't believe it. I can't believe the time has gone by so quick. My homecoming talk will be  THIS SUNDAY the 17th at 9am  at 550 E 700 S, I'd love to see you there!! There will be food after at Vernon Worthen Park :). This week was so crazy and so awesome. We had the mission tour with Elder Villanueva and I loved it!! We had 2 MLCs with him, and my companion and I are also part of the technology committee, so we had a technology council with him as well! Him and his wife are super cute, I love them and I feel lucky to have heard from them twice on my mission! 3 days full of awesome learning and application. I wish I had more time to apply everything I learned. On the last day he talked a lot about being a disciple of Jesus Christ for our whole lives and I feel like it was a message just for me! Letting The Holy Spirit Guide

Alo!! Koman ou ye?? Duolingo got Creole on it so now I'll definitely come back speaking like a pro thanks Duolingo and textbooks from my mom <3.  This week was average idk. Nothing too crazy. We had some cool lessons and met some cool people!! This is the last week of the transfer and we think Hermana Reategui might leave the area so I'm a little emo about that lol.  We did have a cool experience on Saturday though. We were chillin after English class in the morning and saw that we had some missed texts and a missed call from a random number asking if we were coming and we were like what??? Usually because of English class we don't make appointments for Saturday morning so we were super confused. We called the number and they were like hi are you guys coming??? And we were like who are you? They said "Larimar, remember on the second floor of that house, on such and such road, from Thursday? You said you would come by again Saturday morning did you guys forget?"...
