Rain & 3 Months

Holaaaaaa

This week was chill. And today I've been a missionary for 3 months!! Time is so warped I swear haha.

These past couple of weeks I've been saying that I hear a lot about hurricane season here but haven’t seen anything close. Then this week it rained SO MUCH. You get what you ask for I guess. On Thursday we tried to get to a member's house for lunch and literally could not make it, the roads were so flooded and I was not wearing rain approved shoes lol. We were SOAKED. Fun times!!!

Yesterday during church we saw some awesome little miracles. When it rains here everyone like goes into hiding. Especially on Sundays, so it's hard to see people at church. There's this one Haitian family with 4 kids that we're teaching that are progressing well, and the parents and oldest daughter have been the only ones to come to church, because the rest of the kids don't have shoes, but this week we had some members help us provide them with shoes!! So yesterday the whole family was ready to go, but of course the rain was a huge obstacle!! We had the bishop go get them so they didn't have to walk in the rain but he went and they got confused so he came back to church without them. We were so sad because they were all ready and really wanted to come to church! Well, right before the sacrament started 3 of the kids run in and sit by us!! The whole family came, even with the rain. They took 2 trips on their moto so that they could all be there and not walk in the rain. Seriously such a tender mercy I love that family. Also one of our friends who's getting baptized in a few weeks went up and bore her testimony yesterday and it was so touching :'). She's amazing.

Today since it's the 4th of July we had a zone activity to celebrate! We made some burgers and dressed in red white and blue lol happy bday America.

Spiritual Thought:
2 Nephi 9 is amazing!!!!!! I invite you guys to read that chapter this week! It's soooo good. The whole thing is amazing and I just love it. It goes over the plan of salvation super well. One of the verses I really liked was verse 18:
"But, behold, the righteous, the saints of the Holy One of Israel, they who have believed in the Holy One of Israel, they who have endured the crosses of the world, and despised the shame of it, they shall inherit the kingdom of God, which was prepared for them from the foundation of the world, and their joy shall be full forever."
Guys. There is SO MUCH JOY waiting for us after this life. That's why this life, this probationary state, is so important!! Faith without works is dead. We have to act in this life, and believe in Christ and choose Him in this life, so we can experience the fullness of joy that is waiting for us!! Heavenly Father has so many blessings in store for us. His hand is stretched out ALWAYS, ready to help us when we turn to Him. This verse gives me so much hope. There is opposition in all things, but knowing what comes next after this life helps me to choose the good things, even though sometimes it seems hard! I am sooo thankful for the Plan of Salvation and a loving, merciful God and Savior.

You're all so amazing and remember that you're never alone!!! Pls shoot me an email if you get the chance I would love to hear from all of you!
