Bye Alma Rosa

Hi!!!!!

Okayyyy so after both of us assuming the whole transfer that Hermana Reategui was gonna leave next transfer and prepping this last week for that change... Presidente threw us a curveball and it's actually me that's leaving. I'm so sad haha I LOVE Alma Rosa and was really hoping to stay a little longer but hey, whatever the Lord wants. I'm gonna go pink wash an area yay!! (Take over an Elders area)

This week was pretty chill. We had a baptism on Saturday for our friend Wikenson!! He's 13, Haitian, and so awesome. After we met him he would just come to church on his own, we only invited him once and after the first time because of his circumstances we didn't really expect him to come back, but he has every week!! He's such a silly guy and it was so awesome to see him come unto Christ. I'm so excited for him to keep progressing!

Nothing else really happened just the transfer plot twist hahaha the whole week was kinda based around Reategui leaving and prepping me to lead the area out lol. But hey now I'm done with training!! I guess I'm supposed to be a regular missionary or something who knows what she's doing...

Spiritual Thought
This week Presidente sent out a talk for everyone to read called "Becoming a Consecrated Missionary" by Tad R. Callister. It was really bold and direct in a really good way. It is the absolute guide on how to be a consecrated missionary!!!! It talked about how as a missionary, I have this year and a half (or 2 years) to FULLY dedicate myself to the Lord. He asks for our whole efforts, to put everything worldly or anything holding us back on the "altar of sacrifice." From now on I really want to work on being not just a great missionary, but a consecrated missionary. However, the Law of Consecration isn't a thing for missionaries. Endowed members of the church make this covenant in the temple, to be consecrated unto our Heavenly Father. At home I read a really good book that describes all the covenants we make in the temple, and I really grew a love for the Law of Consecration through that book!! The talk covers this a little too, but I love what the book had to say:

"It is a celestial law. It may be the celestial law. Indeed, consecration is the very essence of complete dedication that defines those who will be exalted in the kingdom of God. ... It is a complete commitment to God. Living the law of consecration involves using our time in accordance with how God wants us to use it, using our talents and abilities to do and promote His will, and using our temporal gifts the way God desires, all done by Spirit-directed agency with the intent to build up the Lord’s kingdom on the earth. …consecration is about absorbing God’s will. Sacrifice, chastity, obedience, and the gospel each contribute and prepare us to fully implement the law of consecration. Consecrated women and men will be the ones prepared to inherit that kingdom as dedicated queens and kings, receiving a fulness of God’s promised blessings.” (The Holy Covenants by Anthony Sweat, pgs. 91-101).

You don't even have to be endowed to be consecrated (although being endowed with the power of God is definitely a hugeeeeeee blessing). I invite you guys to ponder this week on how you can be a little more consecrated to the Lord!! How can you dedicate some time to the Lord this week?

Also pls send me emails I love hearing from everyone.
LOVE U ALL
