Swag
Hi!!!!!!!! Week 1 is done and I've never seen a week go by so fast. This week was super good and eye opening and humbling and all the things.
So because I already know spanish (shoutout Alejandro and Venezuela), I'm only in the MTC for 3 weeks. Because of that, basically everyone in the 3 week program is hispanic or latino. In my district alone we come from 5 different countries. 5! Those are the Dominican Republic, United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Mexico. It's sooooo cool. Sometimes they laugh at my white accent when I speak spanish hahaha, but they are super patient when I struggle with some words!! Luckily I'm not the only American or the only one that struggles with spanish. One of the Hermana's name is literally Hermana White lol. It's also been nice to have my last name pronounced right by everyone on the first try.
I also think it is sooooo cool that God speaks different languages, and that the gospel is the same everywhere. The gospel that I'm going to share in spanish is the same gospel that I have friends sharing in english, french, tagalog, and more, in different parts of the world! What???? This is kinda duh but I felt and saw it up close with my district. God is so real!
My comp is Hermana Zárate and she is from Guatemala! She is so epic and tender I love her. She's like the kind of precious that makes you want to tear up, the same way super cute puppies are, ya feel? :,)
I go to Mexico for the rest of MTC on Tuesday and then I'll be in the DR in 2 weeks! Apparently in other countries you have to have a visa to go even visit another country, and some people in my district don't have their visas for Mexico yet! So let's hope that my district and I can all meet in person!!!
My spiritual thought is all of Moroni 7. That chapter is so awesome. It talks about hope, charity, faith, recognizing the Spirit, missionary work, and so much more. That chapter is all encompassing and I definitely recommend giving it a read!!
Brb talk to you in Mexico!!
Dios te ama!
